Beat the Variable Weather

Stop packing and read this before you close your suitcase.
Visiting Naples and the Amalfi Coast? We see tourists making the same packing mistakes every day. The weather is tricky, the roads are winding, and the beaches are rocky!
Don’t be the tourist who suffers. Save this Survival Checklist now!
Leave these at home
High Heels: The cobblestones (sanpietrini) are dangerous. You will twist an ankle!
American Hair Tools (110V): Unless they are dual voltage, leave your blow dryer in the US. They will fry in our 220V outlets!
Heavy Jeans: If it rains or gets humid, they take forever to dry.
Flashy Jewelry: Relax and enjoy the city without worrying about your valuables.
Bring These Instead (The “Pro-Traveler” Kit)
Motion Sickness Meds: The Amalfi Drive is famous for its 1,000 curves and the ferries can be choppy. Don’t let nausea ruin your view!
Water Shoes (Aqua Socks): Many beaches here are pebbly/rocky, not sandy. Protect your feet from the hot stones!
Layers (“The Onion Strategy”): A linen shirt over a tank top to adjust from the hot sun to the cool sea breeze.
A “Magic” Pashmina: Essential as a blanket on the boat or a cover-up for churches/evening chill.
Cross-Body Bag with Zippers: Safer and more practical for crowded streets/metro/trains.
Sunscreen from Home: Buying it in Positano can cost you double. Bring your favorite brand!
Power Bank: Your battery will die from all the photos. Don’t get stranded without GPS.
