Contemplating a trip to the north of Italy? Pop on your designer sunglasses, designer trenchcoat and to indulge in Venice through the lens of The Tourist movie (2010).  In The Tourist, Angelina Jolie plays Elise, a woman pursued by police and gangsters. On a train to Venice, she enlists Johnny Depp’s character, Frank, an unsuspecting American, as her decoy. Through glittering canals and grand palaces, thrilling chases, romance, and hidden identities unfold in a glamorous web of intrigue.

Watching the movie beforehand brings the story to life as you explore Venice. Walking the same alleys and gliding along the same canals, you can channel Elise’s elegance or Frank’s naive curiosity, slipping into their world of danger and deception.

Day 1 Venice Santa Lucia Station and Canals

Our story begins at Santa Lucia Station, where Frank’s arrival sets the wheels of adventure turning. Step off the train, look suitably disoriented and let Venice sweep you into its embrace.

The canals shimmer with possibility. Gondolas slide past like whispers, motorboats zip by in a blur, and every bridge seems to guard its own mystery. This is where romance, danger and a plot thicker than espresso all began.
